Who is Rocket?

Rocket is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a team of intergalactic superheroes. Rocket is a genetically engineered raccoon with extraordinary intelligence and sharpshooting skills. He is often portrayed as a snarky and cynical character with a tendency to take risks and cause trouble.
In the MCU, Rocket is voiced by actor Bradley Cooper, and his motion capture is performed by Sean Gunn. He was created by writer Bill Mantlo and artist Keith Giffen, and first appeared in Marvel Preview #7 in 1976. In the comics, Rocket has a complex backstory that involves him being a member of a race of intelligent animals called the Loonies who were experimented on by humans.
In the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, Rocket's backstory is somewhat simplified, and he is portrayed as a creature created by the alien race known as the Kree. He is a founding member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and serves as the team's technical expert and weapons specialist. He often bickers with his best friend and partner-in-crime, Groot, and has a close relationship with the human member of the team, Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord).
Rocket has become a fan favorite character in the MCU due to his witty humor, quick thinking, and loyalty to his friends. He has appeared in several movies, including the two Guardians of the Galaxy films, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
